What is herbal medicine?

Personalized Plans

Chinese herbal medicine is a natural therapy used to support the body from within and has been widely used across East Asia for centuries alongside acupuncture.

At our clinic, we use concentrated herbal granules—so instead of boiling raw herbs for hours, you simply dissolve them in warm water and drink them like a tea.

Personalised Treatment

Tailored Specifically to You

Every herbal formula is individually prescribed based on your body, overall presentation, and underlying pattern—not just one symptom.

Rather than simply masking symptoms, the aim is to support the root cause of imbalance and encourage more lasting results. For example we might be able to help you with sleep and digestive issues with one combined prescription.

Your formula may also be reviewed after a course or two as your body changes and improves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it taste bad?

Herbal granules taste similar to a strong herbal tea and can sometimes have a naturally bitter flavour. Honey or other sweeteners may be added to help soften the taste if desired.

Most clients adjust to the flavour quite quickly over time.

Is it safe?

Formulas are prescribed specifically for you and adjusted carefully according to your condition and medical history.

Do I need acupuncture as well?

Not always. Some clients use herbal medicine alongside acupuncture, while others choose herbs on their own.

How long do I need to take herbal medicine for?

The length of treatment depends on your individual condition, how long it has been present, and your overall health.

Some people notice changes within a weeks, while longer-standing or more complex conditions may require a longer course of treatment.

Herbal formulas are usually prescribed for a minimum of 7 days and are adjusted over time according to your progress and response to treatment.
