About Yin

Yin was born in Taiwan and brings with her a deep cultural connection to the traditions of Chinese medicine. From a young age, she was immersed in its philosophy and practices, inheriting time-honoured approaches to maintaining wellbeing through Chinese dietary therapy and medicine passed down through generations.

Her path into acupuncture grew naturally from this early foundation and from a longstanding curiosity about how the body restores balance and health.

Yin is a full member of The Acupuncture Society, the UK professional body for Acupuncture and Oriental Medical Therapy practitioners. Her clinical approach has been strongly shaped by her teacher, the distinguished Chinese medicine doctor and scholar Prof. Engin-Can, a disciple of the renowned 20th-century physician Dr. Ke Shah Li.

Acupuncture may support a wide range of conditions, including general aches and pains, headaches and migraines, fertility support, Long Covid, and emotional health concerns.Yin has a particular interest in women’s health — including fertility and menopause support — as well as in supporting those experiencing anxiety, insomnia, and low mood.

In her treatments, Yin often weaves in gentle guided breathing and meditation, creating space for clients to slow down and reconnect inwardly. She has found that when the body is able to soften and settle, the response to treatment is often deeper and more sustainable.

Alongside acupuncture, Yin may offer personalised dietary guidance, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and Tui Na massage where appropriate.

At the heart of Yin’s work is a quiet commitment to community and compassion. For her, Chinese medicine is not simply a clinical practice, but an ongoing path of cultivation — one that honours balance, relationship, and the meeting of one human being with another.
